Please use this online system to register for volunteer opportunities and other events. 

Habitat for Humanity East Bay invites volunteers to build homes with limited-income families in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to join us.

Volunteer opportunities for the Bay Point construction development are expected to begin mid-2010.

Getting Started:

• Sign up for a volunteer event from the list of available opportunities. If the event says "full" or "reserved," we have met our volunteer needs and are no longer registering additional volunteers. We post oppportunities about three weeks in advance, and additional opportunities are posted each week.
• Attend your volunteer event.  Please refer to the email that you received upon registering to learn where to go, what to bring, etc.
• Become a "Regular" and make an ongoing commitment to continue volunteering with us. As you become more skilled, you may choose to lead crews of other volunteers. Let us know!

• Cancel your volunteer event if you will not be able to attend. That will allow another volunteer to fill your place, and our crew leaders will be able to plan for the correct number of volunteers. If you are experiencing difficulty cancelling your build day, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.

• Age Restriction: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer on the construction site and at our ReStore. Volunteers younger than 18 must have their parent sign a minor waiver form, which is available on our website.

• Court-Ordered Volunteers: We accommodate volunteers with court-ordered service at our ReStore only, and not at our construction sites. Volunteers must notify us that their volunteerism is court-ordered. If you will need a verification letter, please request a letter for your total hours after your last volunteer day is complete, and allow two weeks from your request to receive your letter in the mail. We cannot guarantee that we can provide your letter earlier, so please plan accordingly. Keep in mind that many courts will not accept our letter of verification, and instead provide their own documentation for you to use. If that is the case, you must bring your documentation each day to the ReStore, and request that your supervisor sign the document at the end of each ReStore day. The opportunity to serve all required hours with Habitat East Bay is not guaranteed. Sign up for hours below.
