Please use this online system to register for build days and other events.
Habitat for Humanity East Bay invites volunteers to build homes with limited-income families in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to join us.
Getting Started:
- Sign up for a build day from the list of available dates. If the day says "full" or "reserved," we have met our volunteer needs and are no longer registering additional volunteers.
- Attend your build day. Arrive at 8:30am prepared to volunteer a full day, and bring your lunch and snacks. Wear closed-toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty, painted, or ruined. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to stay protected from the sun. We will provide training, tools, and safety equipment.
- Become a Regular and make an ongoing commitment to continue building with us. As you become more skilled, you may choose to lead crews of other volunteers. Let us know!
Cancel your build day if you will not be able to attend. That will allow another volunteer to fill your place, and our construction staff will be able to plan for the correct number of volunteers. If you are experiencing difficulty cancelling your build day, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
Age Restriction: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work on the construction site. Volunteers younger than 18 must have their parent sign a minor waiver form, which is available on our website.
If you are experiencing difficulty registering, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@habitateb.org or 510-251-6304 ext. 311.
